Mikayla Goodwin

Mikayla was born in Washington and raised all across the state ultimately choosing Washington as a place to put roots down and pursue their education and career.

Mikayla went to Western Washington University in beautiful Bellingham, Washington and graduated with Bachelors of science and a minor in French. Later Mikayla attended Gonzaga University School of Law, completing their Juris Doctor degree and became a licensed attorney in Washington State, as well as a member of the Washington State Bar Association in 2021.

Both founders of Industrious Rogue Law attended law school together and both worked as staff attorneys with the Unemployment Law Project after law school.  This working relationship and the knowledge Mikayla and Nicholas gained at their time at the ULP led them to establish Industrious Rogue Law with the intent to continue helping Washington’s unemployed workers appeal their unemployment benefits.

Prior to becoming a lawyer Mikayla worked as an intern with the Spokane County Public Defender's office assisting with Felony cases and as a licensed legal intern with Elliott Law Group, PLLC specifically working in Immigration Law and Personal Injury cases.

Mikayla uses both they/them and she/her pronouns and is a member of QLaw of Washington, Spokane County Bar Association, and the ACLU.  They are a founding member of Industrious Rogue Law, PLLC, established in 2022.
